What gets tested on the visit
- Static water pressure at the inlet valve, and the age of the filter ahead of it

- Drain line, pump and trap on clear-ice modules, including scale
- Cube size, clarity and the bin temperature the cubes then have to sit in
- Inlet tubing and fittings checked for the slow leak behind water on the floor
The first two readings on an ice call are pressure at the valve and fill volume over a full cycle, because a module being starved of water behaves exactly like a module that has failed, and only one of those needs replacing. Hollow or undersized cubes point at a cycle being cut short. An empty bin with the arm down points at fill. Neither diagnosis requires taking the module out of the cabinet.
